| - Cheap, comprehensive Asian grocery store in a super spacious, relatively clean space located pretty conveniently at the intersection of Highway 7 and Weston Road. The produce here is really cheap when on sale, but otherwise more expensive than downtown Chinatown stock, e.g. bananas are $0.79/lb (similar to Metro or Sobeys) vs. $0.39/lb in Chinatown. They have Asian produce, such as durian, lychee, etc, as well as lots of Asian dry goods like spices and sauces. There is also a pho restaurant on one side of the grocery store with a seating area. Hot foods are also available here along with a food court" that serves mainly trashy, greasy, super unhealthy (sorry I'm being so judge-y... but public health) Western-influenced Asian dishes like curry chicken, fried rice, etc. Interestingly there's also a wide array of Italian goods sold here, probably catering to the large Italian community here.
The sushi deals at the end of the day are great! Huge platters for less than $15 and some bento boxes are under $5!
Definitely recommend this store for your weekly grocery runs if you live in the area.
Note: they only accept cash or debit.
