| - Club might be ok, but only if you can get in... promoters and bouncers suck. And from what I heard from other friends, my incident is not the only one.
*Edit: Go really early and it's not as bad. I guess the bouncers aren't tired and pissy yet. Got there with a group of 14, even guy: hot girls ~_^ at 9:30 on Saturday night. We got in as hotel guest (seperate line and they checked for room keys) and cover was free. Remember, dress code strictly enforced. They have guest list too but you have to be in before 9:30, and it helps to be a girl.
What a rip... they totally try to scam you and show little respect for your business. I understand that no matter what, hot Vegas clubs are going to get business... if not yours someone else's. But really, treat us with some decency as customers.
So I go to Vegas for a bachlorette weekend. We stay at a suite in Venetian, and planned our main dinner at the Toa restaurant and got bottle service for Toa nightclub. We planned all this months in advanced with a Venetian promoter.
Saturday night hits, we verify our 7 pm dinner reservation by calling the restaurant at 4. They lost our dinner reservations and basically said SOL w/o any appology or good explaination, saying we can make a new reservation for a 9:45 seating. We opted ditch the restaurant, and to just stay in for roomsevice and invited everyone to the room for food and drinks.
We hit the club around 10. We had 2 extra guest that we had called in and added on Friday night. The promoter said it wasn't a problem to add 2 more and she would update the list. No go... she didn't update, the bouncer at the door said we had too many people and said if we wanted to get the 2 in we would have to buy a 4th bottle. O_O... We argued noting that we had made an agreement for 3 bottles well in advanced and had called in perviously about the additions, at which time, nothing was noted about any changes to the service. Money was not the issue. The attitude and principle of it was. We asked to talk to the promoter we worked with. It took 30 mins to get a hold of our promoter. She didn't even come out to speak with us, and the bouncer discussed things with her by phone. He finally said Ok we'll let you in. It takes another 10mins for him to let us in.
We get in and get seated. 15mins into it, another host tries to seat another group on the other half of our "booth". After the trouble downstairs, this annoied us even more. With our group of 17 girls, there was no way we could sit comfortably in that area with another party on the other side of what was first introduced to us as our area. We noted to our hostess the mistake and she politely talked to the other host and appologized to us. She was the first accomodating person we met that whole nite.
The rest of the night was a fabulous drunken party and the bachlorette had fun as we tried to shield her from the troubles earlier in the evening. We ended up buying a 4th bottle. But like I said, it's not the money, it the attitude they gave us.
Yes the layout of the club is a little odd. We were seated at a table up at Tao beach near the pools which was good, at least on the roof there is air circulation, even though it was hot as F in September. The bathrooms were also a trek across the whole pool area(which is quite big if you've never been to the Venitian pools). It is also quite a trek by stairs up to the pool area from the main club entrance and inside dance floor. It had nice lighting and decor. Good looking people. The table hostess was actually really nice. The music is moderate... good beats overall, but a bit too much house for our group's taste... but that's just the upstairs Toa beach area. Because of the flights of stairs and the risk of tumbling drunkenly down them, we ended up not going down to the main club area.
If it weren't for the bachlorette and the number of people in our group, I would have ditched this place on account of their horrible service(except for our table hostess).
