  • On first glance, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was stylish and big. It really reminded me of a typical SLS room as opposed to a typical W room. The ambience was chic and everything was remarkably clean. Casino is right downstairs in the SLS lobby with $5 blackjack! My initial thought was to give this place a 5 star. However, the bed and sheets absolutely ruined it for me. I was out late and had about five hours to sleep before a long day of work ahead. The bed looked comfortable but was the exact opposite. The mattress was springy and the sheets were ROUGH. I don't think I have ever slept on sheets this itchy and hard in any legitimate hotel. My thoughts are that the sheets are probably over washed and over bleached to the point that they have lost all softness. I probably woke up once every 20 mins and just couldn't find a comfort zone. In talking to my work colleagues in the morning, at least two people agreed with this problem Would I stay here again? Probably not if it means I can't get a good night's sleep!
