Outstanding dinner in downtown Las Vegas. The bartender mixes an excellent Manhattan, and the whole place is welcoming without being cloying. Beautiful long U-shared bar, tucked-away seating, and some alcove booths, too. We started with the aforesaid Manhattan, had the porcino ribeye and the veal chop, which were both delicious and sizable. Might not have need the beet salad starter we ordered, but it was fine too. With the entrees came mashed potatoes and some vegetables; we ordered sauteed spinach that was slightly garlicky and tasty too.
And then, the special rum bread pudding for dessert.
Price reasonable, and we rolled out of there satisfied. This is just about as good a choice as the Barrymore, and easy walking distance to all the Fremont Street-area hotels.
