  • This is your standard Hyatt Place. Free wifi and breakfast daily are available, as well as a L-shaped couch and mini fridge. I do like having a L-shaped couch (functions as a pullout bed) because there is space to lounge. This is pretty standard at every Hyatt Place. Once you have stayed at one, you have stayed at them all in terms of layout. The following however is why this location gets two stars: I asked the front desk as to why the air conditioner doesn't stay on the whole time when in "fan" mode as opposed to "auto" mode. The guy said that the rooms are programmed to always be on "auto" mode. So then what is the point of having a "fan" mode at all? Nevertheless, the guy offered to have maintenance re-program and asked when would be a good time to fix. I left for the day and returned after 4PM. The hotel did not fix the air conditioner. It was so loud, like a train wrecking a dishwasher, that I just couldn't sleep all night. I can't sleep without some type of noise so I downloaded the white noise app in the middle of the night to use and turned off the air conditioner. The trash was not thrown away from the previous night. Considering there are not many trash cans in the first place (only two), I don't think it's a very high expectation to have trash thrown away daily. Luckily I didn't have anything smelly like a banana peel in there, but it's annoying. I will probably end up staying here again unfortunately due to location. This hotel is only a couple of blocks or so from the capitol building and the square surrounding the capitol. There are quite a bit of choices for restaurants within walking distance, so I'll probably end up here again!
