| - Celebrity & James Beard chef Tom Colicchio (best known as the head judge on Top Chef) opened Craftsteak (located inside the MGM Grand) in 2002 and it has been an AAA's Four Diamond restaurant since 2006.
I had a reservation through the OpenTable and overall service was excellent. The menu include the steak tasting menu (range from $125 to $275) as well as other a la carte items (first courses, main courses, and side dishes). The portion for each side dish pretty big, so it is best to share between two ~ three people.

Hand-Cut Wagyu Tartare (Crostini, $24): Well seasoned beef tartare - not a bad dish to share, but personally it was a bit pricey for what it's worth.
Complimentary Dinner Rolls with Sea Salt: Soft rolls with crusty exterior - it was decent.
N.Y. Strip (Dry Aged RR, Bone In - $49): Talk about one amazing NY steak ... yup, it was definitely one of the best steak I have ever had from any steakhouses. Incredible steak quality (tender and juicy) with flavorful au jus. I even poured au jus over the potato puree.
Potato Puree (Yukon Gold, Chives - $15): Smooth and buttery mashed potato, but it lacked strong flavors. I have had better mashed potato, but it wasn't too shabby.
Brussels Sprouts (Bacon, Bordelaise - $15): I am no brussels sprouts expert, but it was a good veggie dish.

Generous portion + mouth-watering steak = one satisfying dinner. The NY steak alone was really the only reason why I decided to give 5-star instead of 4-star. I had an excellent experience at Craftsteak and hopefully one day I will get to visit another Tom Colicchio's signature restaurant - Craft (one in New York and another one in Los Angeles).
