  • Ali Taleb, at Diva Salon and Spa, is all-around fantastic--and that is NOT an exaggeration! After years of searching for someone who kept my hair fresh, unique, and easy-to-do, I met Ali, and have been seeing him as my hair stylist for two years now. I have many reasons why I continue to see Ali despite my having moved away from Calgary. First, Ali is unbelievably good at what he does. He cuts hair, but more than that, Ali is very much an artist. He understands his craft, and legitimately studies it in his spare time. When he isn't cutting hair, he is still considering other ways to be better at what he does. He offers unique haircuts that suit individual's style, face-shape, and lifestyle. Second, while Ali brings his own brand of unique style to his craft, and he treats his clients extremely well--ensuring they are comfortable throughout the entirety of their visit. He views himself as a host, and his clients as a guests. He makes sure his clients have a beverage if they would like one, checks in throughout appointments as to clients' comfort levels, and always ensures his clients are satisfied with his work. Additionally, he is warm, friendly, and always a pleasure to talk to. He is, all-around, a good host. Third, I think the mark of a good stylist is represented in how a person feels when they are walking out of their appointment. Undoubtedly, I always feel fantastic after seeing Ali, and he keeps me looking my best. I recently had a baby, and even after ten hours of labour, I had nurses asking me where I got my hair cut because it held up so well.
