  • There are lots of appliances here, and the staff was friendly. I had looked online and they had the upright Whirlpool freezer I wanted to purchase and donate to my synagogue. It was less expensive than at Lowe's, but Lowe's has free delivery(vs. $50) and the 5 year warranty $120(vs. $180). Adding up the totals for both, Paradise was still cheaper, and I have no problem with scratch & dent. I have purchased several s & d's for my home from the Sears Outlet store and Lowe's in the past. They said they test the appliances before selling them. The freezer was delivered, and it seemed that cold air started to come out. So hundreds of dollars of meat for Passover was put inside the freezer. Two days later the freezer was opened, and what a stink! All that meat ruined! No cold air whatsoever blowing out. I was notified by office staff, and I called Paradise. They said to call Whirlpool to schedule repair, and the insurance company to get reimbursed for the meat. No help at all from Paradise. It took a week for a repairman to come out, and almost a whole week to come back with the part to fix it. And more meat was to be delivered! I was so worried about this situation that I went to Bestbuy and purchased a small chest freezer on sale in case the upright freezer part he was bringing did not fix the problem. Where would we put the meat if he had to come back in another week? This was an expensive Passover for me, that's for sure. No good deed goes unpunished. I don't know if this was a fluke, or Paradise does sell non-working, returned appliances, and then blows you off. Perhaps in the future, they could turn on freezers overnight and put a bag of ice inside to see what happens. I'll be sticking to the Sears Outlet store or Lowe's in the future.
