  • It was the service itself that would make me rethink coming here again. Before I get into why I only gave it 3 stars, let me start with the positives: The comedy itself was pretty funny, there were three opening comedy acts, and of course the headliner. The first guy that came out, a "31 year old, crippled, black guy" his words not mine, was pretty funny. He had a couple of jokes that didn't land, but overall it was a good way to open the show. The next guy Dante was hard to understand at first, he was mainly just yelling his jokes, which I wasn't a fan off. Half way through his set he had a solid joke and finished strong. The third guy was the "owner" of this place. It was his birthday, so i am not sure if that's why he seemed off. I didn't enjoy his "comedy" at all. I found myself not paying attention. I was more interested in my phone. I gave it a chance, but it just didn't make me laugh. ( I did meet him after the show, he was very nice, offered us food, said we should come back.) Lastly, the headliner, Skyler Stone. He was actually very funny, After the show, he said hi to us and was very nice. I went home and starting watching more things from him, which should say enough about how funny this guy is. So, the show overall deserves a solid 4 stars, but I had to take another star off for the experience I have. Walking into the club, they had tasting of their new menu going on outside. The food was decent. I had Tri-tip which was slightly chewy but had a decent flavor. Walking into the club, the new girl at the ticket counter was nice. A little nervous and slow being her first day, but she was friendly. As we were seated we asked for a food menu. The guy that sat us never got it, so we asked the girl who was serving the tables in front of us, again never got it. Finally after 10 minutes a girl came to our table put down the cocktail napkins and took our drink order. (They have mixed/specialty drinks for about $10. I ordered a Vodka OJ for $6) Again we asked for a food menu. Another 10 minutes goes by and the show is starting, the waitress comes back and gives us our drinks, no food menu. We ask again for the menu, she abruptly reaches over to the next table and grabs their menu (Yes, people were sitting at that table). If I wanted to grab someone Else's menu I would have, I didn't think ordering food would be such a bother. The place had a good crowd so I can understand being busy, but the waitress serving the tables in front of us and been by her tables multiple times, whereas our waitress disappeared, i didn't see her serving any tables. All of this "searching" made me miss some of the show, which for $33, I didn't want to miss any of it. So after finally getting the food menu, we decided we would just wait until the show is over and get something after. My drink tasted weak. Vodka OJ is all I drink, so i am pretty familiar with it. This drink just tasted like OJ. Whereas my friends' Cosmo ended up tasting kind of strong. The bathroom was a mess, there were paper towels thrown all over, and there was NO soap. Luckily I always bring my hand sanitizer for cases like these. And now to the #1 reason for my rating: During the show, I turned to my friend to tell her something... the young incredibly rude "owner" who had just taken a seat near us (Dark button down shirt, jeans, young, guy) turned to us and in the rudest way said can you be quiet. I was outraged considering my whole experience was being ruined by a group of loud, obnoxious, "investors" who were sitting towards the back of the club. They were so loud and constantly interrupting. Even the comedians on stage multiple times had to ask them to be quiet. They were the rudest, most ignorant people I have ever met. And this asshole owner is telling me to be quiet! Absolutely ridiculous! You should be apologizing to me for having to listen to those jerks yell "testosterone" throughout most of the show. At one point, I had considered going over there and telling them to shut up. And Again this douche is telling me to be quiet. There are ways to handle things and that isn't how it should have been done. Overall the show was great but I lowered my rating due to the number of service related issues that I had and the fact that their "investors" ruined some of the show for me. This is the first time I have been here as I usually go to Tempe Improv, which can be a little pricier. But then again you do get what you pay for. I will probably give this place another try, but I will lower my expectations a little and just come for the good entertainment.
