| - Scam scam scam! I called the company thinking it was Zerorez from my internet search. I just wasn't paying close attention and clicked on a special for 0Residue. I called the number 702 983-1537 and the lady offered me the special for $89 + $10 for the hallway. Then 10% off if I booked that day. So today, Feb 17, 2018, I had an appt between 12-2. Got all my furniture off the carpet and the guy showed up on time. He hooked up his truck mounted cleaner to my garden hose (hmmm-okay at least I know the water is clean) and came in and cleaned an area about 5'x5' in the middle of my front room. It was very clean, I was impressed BUT then he turned off the equipment and said, "If you want your whole house this clean, it'll be $499.00. WHAT!? I told him what the girl offered on the phone and his response was he could just use hot water, no detergent no protectant and it'll be $299. No no no. He had to call his supervisor.
I got on the phone to call a Chem Dry to come today instead. My husband decided to try to negotiate with the terrorists on the guy's cell. I couldn't find anyone to come out same day and my husband managed talk them into $170. I wasn't finding anything much better, so we let him finish what he started as a clean spot in my front room. He didn't do a great job, but my carpet is clean. Very wet, but clean. He left a few spots that I can get out and he didn't do much along the baseboards. When I asked him to walk the end project, I pointed out oversights. He told me these were all additional charges. The spot in the living room he blamed on the air ducts blowing; nice try idiot I don't use my heat and it wouldn't make a dark spot the size of a fifty cent piece! Now, I've got my heat on high (I haven't had to use my heat yet this winter!) trying to dry the soaking wet carpet! He left the places where the carpet meets tile or hardwood floors in puddles which I've mopped up. I called the company back and asked a few questions. That's when I realized they weren't who I thought they were. The lady told me to send pictures and a copy of my receipt to a cell number and a supervisor would call me after 48 hours. I asked about the reason for the delay and she said the carpet needs to dry for a final result. I think it's intended to be a cooling off period! I told her I thought Yelp would be a better solution. I should've read Yelp first, I see I'm not the only one saying this! Oh well you live and you learn!
