After reading all the reviews I was a bit disappointed with the Center. They will be moving to new facilities within the year but at the moment the trails are in rough shape, areas look sad, and the display signage is lacking. Apparently the new philosophy is to provide less detail about the rescued raptor and more about the species itself. I am hopeful that they rethink this as I feel it gives the wrong message to the less informed. Without a history of what brought the bird to the rehabilitation center it may come across as simply a caged bird in a "zoo" like setting. When the viewing public reads about the circumstances that brought the bird to the sanctuary they become educated in the dangers that pellet guns, electrical wires, cars, etc.. pose to birds.
It's also disappointing that there was nothing special going on the day we visited. For the same entry price as in the summer we just had a viewing of the raptors, no in-flight demonstrations or docents providing on trail conversation. At the moment for value for the $25 we paid.
