I was delighted to have a post-Thanksgiving brunch with my family here, at Bouchon in the Venetian hotel. I ordered the Croque Madame, something I've wanted to try since taking French in high school. It definitely did not disappoint! In fact, I'm pretty sure it was the best thing I've ever eaten! It is a simple concept-ham and cheese sandwich covered in Mornay sauce with a runny egg on top-but it was heavenly. The flavors melded perfectly and the sauce was rich and flavorful. It's not the healthiest option on the menu, but so worth it. The other highlight was the bread at the start of the meal. It is served with small cups of butter and jam and served directly on the white tablecloth. Other highlights from my family's meal were the chicken and waffles, lobster hash (special of the day), petit dejeuner americaine, and Belgian waffle. The bakery items are amazing too! Try the sticky bun or the better butters for dessert!
