I've never tried Cambodian food so now I did. It definitely hit the spot. I just landed in Phoenix and I wanted an Asian noodle soup. Don't know what I was thinking since it was almost 90 degrees when I landed. But noodle soups are always good no matter what.
I got the Basil Seed with Grass Jelly drink ($3). It was cool, refreshing and just a little sweet. I need to find a Cambodian restaurant in the San Fernando Valley just to get this drink.
I started off with an egg roll ($1) and then a spring roll ($3), it's nice that I can order one of each. The egg roll was crispy and full of flavor and meat and the spring roll was refreshing.
Then I got the beef ball, tripe and sliced beef rice noodle soup ($8). It had the cilantro, bean sprouts and lime add on's. It reminded me of Vietnamese Pho but without the star anise flavor.
I am definitely a fan, when I go back to Phoenix, I will be going back.
