  • First, let me say I've been eating at Armstrong's since the 80's when they had one location on Grove Road in Castle Shannon. I live in the West Hills now, and I go to the Moon location. This place is a Pittsburgh Classic. The food is delicious. The food is ALWAYS delicious!! The service is great. The service is ALWAYS great!! The catering and take out tastes just like in the restaurant and they give you all the extras - this is ALWAYS the way they do it!! It's great for date night, it's a great place to take your growing teens/young men because they won't leave hungry!! I have never thought to write a review for Armstrong's before, but I must say that I cannot understand the reviews that are even 4 stars or below. This place is the best, you can't beat it!! What would I recommend? Anything, everything!! I've had the wedding soup, the salads, the sandwiches, the eggplant parm (OMG) the chicken parm, the fish, the pasta... Suffice to say that whatever you get you will love. Of course, like with any other GOOD restaurant, you will hit a wait if you go during lunch or dinner rush. So just use some common sense and plan accordingly. It is worth it!!
