  • Just moved here from Chicago. Full disclosure, I'm a Boilermaker and Dan is too. That being said I'm fair when it comes to food. Dan and crew are super friendly and I felt overwhelmed with a sense of belonging as soon as we started dialogue. Had the perfectly cooked brisket on TX toast with a side of creamy coleslaw, awesome hush puppies/corn fritters, a taste of the delicious Brunswick stew and a KILLER banana pudding. I prefer a rub with a noticeable crunch on it but Dan lets the meat speak for itself and I respect that. He pairs them with sauces that compliment the meat and takes me to my happy place (including a chipotle bleu cheese sauce I may just bathe in one day). I also added a little of the bbq sauce to the stew because I like it with a bit more tang. Monster! All in all, I have found my spot in Charlotte. BOILER UP!!
