Came here with my SO on a Pittsburgh trip and decided to try Gaucho Parrilla because of all the great reviews. While I was definitely INCREDIBLY impressed with the rib eye platter, and would come again on future trips solely for that, I found the sandwich and veggie platter disappointing.
We waited in line for about 45 minutes (the line is outside, beware on hot days) before were ordered and were able to sit. It seems that the hold up isn't so much space/seating as much as the fact that there is only one person taking orders, so hopefully the restaurant adds an additional register soon!
The food:
-Rib eye platter: This is why you come, for the straight meat dishes. The rib eye was DELICIOUS and I'm not normally that into meat. It was cooked perfectly and was amazing on its own, but there are dipping sauces in case you want any extra flavor.
-Rosemary Beef Brisket: Good but VERY oily and very heavy. I would skip this and get one of the cuts of meat w/salad/bread instead.
-Small veggie platter: We ordered the veggie platter for something healthy in anticipation of eating way too much meat, but unfortunately the veggie platter itself was oily =/
-Peach cobbler: Solid, but no different than any other peach cobbler you've had.
*BYOB so come prepared!
*Come early to avoid the line!
