Love local food so was happy to try this place. It was a good substitute for local grinds but not quite as good as the real thing. Musubi appetizer was a high point. My husband loved his chicken katsu loco moco-- other reviews were accurate, the portion was HUGE. My chicken katsu was a little plain and the sauce was flat. I didn't find the kalbi as tasty or tender as other reviewers, found it tough and short on marinade time. Haupia cake not recommended, should have tried the ice cream pie. Our companions liked their furikake shrimp and the kahlua pig with cabbage. This place definitely is worth a visit, I just didn't order the right thing this time.
