  • I've been here many times but this experience really made it difficult to go back. The food here is pretty good, the jalapeno pepper poppers are terrific. The Spotted Donkey Salad with Salmon, which you have to ask for, is really above par. BUT, they charge for chips and salsa, not normal in a mexican place. Worst though was the way they took advantage tonight. I went over for one drink at the bar, "what kind of good Bourbon do you have?", "Blantons", Great give me a Blantons neat, rocks on the side. Got the drink, that's all I wanted so I asked for my check. Holy S*(&&, seriously. READY! $23.00 for ONE DRINK!. I can buy the bottle for a little over twice that. It's too late once you've ordered so I felt like I was had by the short hairs but it really makes it hard to go back for any of the other things. I used to have lunch here with my wife fairly regularly, I'll suggest Venues or Legend Trail or any of a number of other options before I'll go back after getting taken advantage of with prices like that.
