| - Took my car in for a tire repair today. Then was told its not repairable but needs a new tire and they could order one for us. We were like, no problem. We were ready to let them order the new tire and make another appointment to have the new tire installed. When we went to pick up the car, the guy said its $50 for labour - taking the tire off and putting it back on. It really surprised us. The guy argued that "if it's a Honda tire sure it'd be free of charge, but since it's a high performance tire we charge labour cost because it's not an easy job". Well, shouldn't they tell us about this difference at the beginning cuz we didn't know?? We just assumed that what we heard from the good reviews is so true that we could trust them. $50 isn't much. However, what really upset us is that they didn't tell us they would charge labour cost for taking off & putting bk on the tire at the beginning. as the tire experts, I'm sure they could tell from the very first second that the tire wasn't a regular tire but a high performance tire. Even my 16-yr-old nephew could tell. If they told us at the beginning we would be happy to pay the $50, and appreciate their service even though nothing really got fixed this time, and go ahead to let them order the new tire and get it all fixed. UNFORTUNATELY, they didn't. They gave us this "nice" surprise when we were so ready to make another appointment with them to do more business.
Based on today's experience with them, we won't trust them again and will NOT visit again. We will tell our family, friends and coworkers that Fountain Tire might be good - but definitely NOT this location. Lesson learned.
