Chuck's team has nicely represented Garde-Manger on the gastropub scene with it's purple light shining on old Montreal.
Menu is nicely elevated with a few seasonal dish that may come and go, revolving around steady classics and all executed with a twist. The short ribs, making the podium hands down for the meat team sharing a close spot with the shelfish "box" on the food-appeal photo finish. Any appetizers with foie gras is a must indulge almost to a point where you want to skip dessert and grab some more! Too bad some of us are blessed with shelfish allergies... The lobster poutine looks addictive!
Wine list is elaborated, steap in price but will complement any orders.
Staff is knowledgeable, very attentive and making the dinning experience enjoyeable. No need to mention service is near spotless.
Good for business type dinners, not so good for a cheap date. Decor and music brings a pefect ambiance to this out of the box experience.
Online reservation days in advance is a must as walk-in patrons may get welcome another evening. Expect to spend 2h indulging.
