Staff is very friendly but both doctors Misdiagnosed my olde English bulldog. After limping for about a month we took our dog to Black Mountain Animal Hospital where they informed us that she tore her ACL ligament requiring surgery. They took X-rays and scheduled her appointment for surgery. Since the procedure was over $2000 we wanted to get a second opinion just for piece of mind. We then brought our dog to another hospital highly recommended by multiple people and they gave us a completely different diagnosis. The new doctor we went too took a lot of time to examine our dog and informed us that she had a dislocated knee cap and even showed us where it was in the X-rays that Black Mountain hospital sent over. My husband and I were furious at the fact that they were going to do surgery on our dog for a reason not even needed. We immediately scheduled are appointment with the doctor who gave us the diagnosis of the dislocated knee cap. I can't tell you how lucky we are that we did not go with black mountain hospitals recommendation since she would've had surgery for the wrong reason. I honestly want to complain to the animal board about the misdiagnosed. Would've they have even told us the truth after they did the surgery and claim she also had something else wrong with her and made us pay an additional $2000. Black Mountain shame on you.
