This store is dirty, clothing is overpriced, most of the toys and electronics are broken (no refunds) and worst of all, the staff is rude. They seem to hate kids. The first time I went there my 7 year old son was sitting on the floor playing with toys and I was browsing baby clothes, this was before their remodel. I could literally touch him with my foot. Still, an employee approached me and said "Excuse me. I've had complaints. Can you stand next to him?" There was no one else in the store so I know the complaint was hers alone. I understand not leaving children unattended but he wasn't left unattended. I could see him, speak to him and grab him if need be. I was within three feet. We left immediately and didn't return for two years.
The second time I went was today. We went to the back room and I showed my 1 year old some baby toys they had. My 9 year old decided to sit on a chair right next to me because his feet were tired from a walk. Not even a minute later an employee yelled "EXCUSE ME! YOU CAN'T SIT THERE, IT BELONGS TO SOMEONE ELSE." It scared the hell out of all of us because it was very quiet when she popped out of nowhere to yell at my son. If they didn't want anyone sitting on those chairs they could have moved them off the sales floor. Again we left immediately and I will not be returning. I can walk to this thrift shop in ten minutes but from now on I will be taking 20 minute drive to Deseret industries or the good will.
