  • Love, love, love Welcome Diner. Solid food and solid service make this a favorite. Just had the PB&B burger with real deal THICK cut bacon, bread and butter pickles and my favorite chunky peanut butter. Cooked to perfection and delivered promptly, it went down quick with an ice cold PBR. Before dinner I had their version of Sazerac, made with a rye whiskey in lieu of cognac. Delish. Probably my new favorite summer whiskey drink! Also to die for is the bumblebee, imagine an amazing chicken sandwich on a top notch biscuit drizzled with honey. Yum! I'm full as I write this waiting on beignets that were comped because our side of fries didn't make it out, but I could eat a bumblebee because it's that good. So great food, great drinks and a great al fresco dining experience make Welcome Diner one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. If you come at night sit at the big round table on the 10th street side for great views of downtown.
