| - Dishonest and deceptive sales tactics! I would give zero stars if possible.
I ordered a Forester in February. The car we wanted wasn't in stock and and needed 8 weeks to be delivered.
A few days after I ordered (with more than 7 weeks left before delivery), I noticed a $500 charge labelled "Subaru value package" on my bill of sale. When I asked about it, I was told it was for the floor mats, touch up paint etc. that I wanted.
When I protested that these were items that were offered to me as part of the negotiation, the sales guy Bruce Zhou actually replied, "Well, we never said it was free!" What the???? You never told me it was going to be $500!!!
To be clear, no one ever mentioned the "subaru value package" to me, told me what it consisted of, or told me what the cost was until I asked!
The manager, Afshin Soufivand, was no more help, insisting that I signed for the charge on the bill of sale, and he wasn't going to take it off.
It's $500!!! In the grand scheme of life, it makes no difference to me... and certainly shouldn't make a difference to a car dealership. But their
refusal to remove the package (and their insistance that pay for something I didn't expect or want) speaks to the lows to which they will stoop to cheat you out of a buck.
Do not trust these people! They would rather make a quick buck and have you leave an unhappy customer.
