| - My coworker brought me here for lunch today and it was yummy! Having just moved to vegas, I'm hesitant to try Asian restaurants unless I hear good things about them from people (or yelp!) because, well, you can get sick if they don't run a clean ship in the back kitchen. Luckily, this place is very clean.
Basically your typical dim sum place, which for all of you who don't know is kinda like tapas (small plates) of Chinese food. Servers come past the tables pushing carts full of food that you can choose from. They bill you at the end of the meal according to a little order card on your table, which they stamp/write on when you get each plate.
We had the chow mein (fried noodles), the choy sum (Chinese broccoli), shumai (pork meatballs in egg wrapper), shrimp balls, shrimp potstickers, char siu bao (steamed pork bun), chive dumplings, and the crab balls. Make sure you get those crab balls. They have a crab claw sticking out of them to identify them and they look weird, but they are sooooooo juicy and delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they had fried taro "footballs." I'm from Hawaii and taro isn't something I'd expected to see in a vegas restaurant, so yay! (Taro is a starchy root vegetable similar to a potato. A staple in traditional Hawaiian cuisine. Not sure what they call it in Chinese.)
When in doubt, just point to what you want on the cart. Prices are reasonable ($50 for three hungry people, including drinks) so definitely venture out and try things!
