  • I'm not quite sure where to start. I am an Independent Fashion Consultant for LuLaRoe. Another local consultant and I decided to have a training here for our teams since they have a room available for rent that also had a screen compatible to play/display a PowerPoint. Or so they said. First of all, I let the girl know who helped me book it, that I would also be "hosting" with another girl. Tonight when she had happened to walk in the location before me, the employee (Kelsey) would not speak to her because she wasn't me. We ordered pizzas to be delivered (because it was suggested we could do such when we first looked at the space) and she called me as I was walking in the door to let me know they didn't have plates. At which point I responded that I was walking in the door and we'd finger it out. Once in the door she said they did in fact have plates but it would be a $24 charge. The price we payed fro terrible service was outrageous. We refused the plates and told her we'd just use napkins, she then asked if we brought our own because that would be a charge as well. My co-host went next door to the pretzel shop to grab some paper towels to eat on. (SERIOUSLY?!) Upon arrival, (our reservation was for 6:30-8:30) 10 minutes early, we were informed that we were not allowed to enter the room until our given time. There is no where to sit so we awkwardly stood in the middle of the bakery waiting for time to pass. Don't worry, the attitude we received upon arrival did not end for a second the entire visit. Once we finally were let in the room, Kelsey, with all her attitude in tact, asked for my flash drive. When she plugged it in, the PowerPoint I had saved did not show up. They had no other system for me to access my flash drive to try to figure it out so I walked over to Apple. (They were AMAZING to me, by the way). I there plugged in my flash drive to move the file around to see if I could access it. I returned to Wonderland to find that it was still unable to be accessed. In which case I let Kelsey know that it was her screen that was incompatible with the format of which I had my PowerPoint saved, though she told me to bring it in that way. She tried to tell me over and over again, that it was my flash drive, and not her screen. That the other screens they have play PowerPoints fine, they just have to select every slide to show. AKA A PICTURE SLIDE SHOW!!!! Not a PowerPoint. After wasting 30 minutes of time we had paid for, and obviously they were going to be strict about it, I just told her to forget it and I would figure something else out. She walked out, clearly annoyed with me and my trying to make SOMETHING work. The music was loud and annoying and there was a train riding around that was beyond irritating. We asked to have both stopped and/or turned down. When I asked that, there was someone else present in the bakery (I found out later, the owner) who was all of the sudden so gracious and helpful to gladly grant those 2 wishes. Kelsey came in minutes later with a tray of MAYBE 10-15 literal shot size paper cups of water. This is the last we saw of her until we checked out. Which is a whole different story. We were quoted this room for $150/hr. So for 2 hours it should have costed $300. Plus tax. I had paid half ($150) over the phone when I booked the space. He remaining balance somehow was $278. When we asked what for, there was a $54 added gratuity, on top of a $104 gratuity, and then the sales tax? It was VERY confusing and I have no idea what we paid for. When we asked what the charges were for she explained to us that there was SOOOO many people that had to come in and completely change the room, clean all the legs on the table and the baseboards and blah blah blah. Oh ANDDD she brought us water. She was very very rude when we asked her about the charges and just had so much attitude. As we were leaving she shouted to us, obliviously sarcastic, to have a good night. As soon as we were out the door and looked back she was laughing and shaking her head. The service was terrible. The treats were terrible. (Bless the hearts of those who got them after all this) And we basically paid $500 for occupying space for 2 hours. No PowerPoint, water shots, and a WHOLE LOT of attitude. I will never ever be returning to this place and I will happily spread the word. As we stood outside last night, we let everyone who looked at it walking by that they didn't want to go in that place. Hopefully people hear about it BEFORE they walk in rather than after, we made that mistake.
