Kohl's is a department store chain located in almost every city. It can be tailored for the budget conscious but again you get what you pay for. If you open a card with them then you'll save 15% on your first purchase.
They offer a reward system at the end of each month giving you $5.00 per certain dollar amount spend. If you spend $600.00 a year there then you qualify for MVP status and get flyers from time to time offering you various percent discounts ranging from 15-30%
The store carries a wide selection of clothing, shoes, housewares, appliances. make up, jewelry and accessories to name a few. They often have "bonus buys" from time to time but usually they turn out to be a bit more inferior merchandise.
Still they offer free Wi-Fi and is one of the most heavily crowded stores during the holidays. Wait times for registers can be lengthy if you hit it at a busy time. Still the racks are well organized. You can also shop on line and the store will return the item if you aren't satisfied with your online purchase.
Occasionally the offer "Kohl's cash" for every $50.00 spent but it is usually for a later period of time and easy to forget you have it. They are now trying a system I've seen in other department stores where you can purchase on line and pick up in store.
All in all it can be budget friendly but remember you get what you pay for.
