  • Bally's is somewhere in the middle on my go-to list of Las Vegas strip hotels. I've stayed here about 3 times (out of 100+ Vegas trips in my life). Each time, I had a pleasant stay, but I didn't spend much time at the hotel. This place is more for the comfort and location. The parking structure is shared with Paris. Valet is much easier, but self-parking isn't bad. Parking was free before, but parking fees will soon be implemented. The last time I stayed here in July 2016, I used valet - fast and friendly, during both arrival & departure. Check-in took long! It was about 2am, with maybe 3 guests in line and 2 front desk employees. The process was slow. When it was my turn, I was told that the 2-queen room I booked was not available as it was first come first serve. Since it was late, those rooms were all taken. That didn't make sense to me because I specifically booked it, so it should have been reserved for me. I asked if I get a partial refund, to which the employee responded no because it's the same price. I became upset. She asked if I really need a room with 2 beds, to which I responded yes. She gave me the option of a room with 2 beds, but it was a smoking room. Since I was only staying for less than 5 hours, I agreed. When we arrived to our room, it seemed to be a newly updated or renovated room that was more spacious and had a mini, narrow balcony with a strip view. The smoking smell wasn't too bad and there was already a humidifier in our room, which made it convenient so we didn't have to call for one in the middle of the night. The bathroom was more spacious than I expected. Initially, my check-in experience wasn't good, but the employee did what she could to accommodate me, which I appreciated. The price & value of this hotel is good. The location is central, directly across from Bellagio & the fountains. There is a bridge that leads to Bellagio and another that leads to Cromwell. There are some eateries here & the hotel connects to Paris, where you can find more restaurants and activities. Comfort level is pretty good as well. It's not the best hotel, not the worst, but more positive than negative. You won't find a huge party or young crowd here like you'll find at Flamingo or Planet Hollywood, but that's what makes this hotel more comfortable. You can go out and party, get rowdy, but come back to a quieter "home."
