| - There are more reliable plumbers out there than A&R. We had them go out on a Sunday a few months ago for a water heater leak. We put the claim in early Sunday morning, but they didn't go out until evening, and when they did, they didn't even drain the water heater. They just took the make and model. The tech asked the tenant if he could drain it himself.
Very unprofessional. I've used them several times in the last few years for home warranty calls (HSA, AHS, First American), but very spotty work. I'll never forget the time we dispatched them 2 years ago out to look at a ceiling leak in a property. The tech showed up to the home, but refused to go inside until the service call was paid. I paid it with their office, and once he received confirmation, he went in, looked at the ceiling, then said he couldn't work on it, because it was a drywall leak, and he couldn't cut drywall. A plumber that couldn't cut a drywall hole. No obstructions at all, just a plain ceiling. But at least he got his service call. No one bothered to ask ahead of time if this was something they might have to do, at least to save a trip in case they couldn't do it.
While their accounting department, which was a huge issue when I first started working with them, has gotten much better, the work just isn't good enough for me to want to work with them more.
