| - I just rented from Hertz for about 12 months on a multi-month. The customer service started out fantastic dealing with the reps at the gold counter.
However, as time went on, I received a couple of cars that had some issues (bubbles on tires, cigarette smell, chipped window, malfunctioning electronics). I understand things happen. But some employees (management) were not so helpful when these issues came up.
Also, when I was sold on their program, they let me know I would be able to switch out of preference, apparently management at sky harbor location was not so pleased with that. They, management, also had the worst customer service. They would not listen to my concerns, or responses and instead just kept repeating what they were saying (it is very unprofessional and a little immature).
Had they let me know from the beginning, that preference switching was frowned upon, this wouldn't of happened. Also, a normal professional human to human conversation would have been so appreciated. One employee even told me, " You know what, I'm tired of this, the customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!"
Again, not all was bad, they have a good car selection and the front desk employees, not management, are super friendly and respectable.
