Not sure where to start...From the day I moved into a home listed by B&G I had issues. Carpets smelled like piss from the previous owners dogs - took B&G over a week to agree to have the carpets cleaned - a week of dozens of emails, phone calls, and major waste of my time. Also, day of move in the garage door opener didn't work. I filled out a maintenance request and they told me they were going to CHARGE ME to have a guy come out and fix the garage door opener?!?! Mind you I just moved in and they want to charge me for a previous issue with the home. I landed up having a guy I work with come over to fix it so I wouldn't be charged.
In the middle of my one year stay in the deteriorating home a shelf in the garage broke and paint from the previous tenant spilled on the garage floor - which I called B&G, emailed the home owner, and filled out a maintenance request on stating I wasn't going to clean it because it wasn't my mess.
Where this comes into play is how the home owner and B&G tried to scam me out of my money back on my deposit.
I literally left the home in immaculate condition John Flynn the "property manager" stated twice how great the home looked on my final work through.
30 days later I get my supposed deposit back minus $300??? They charged me $150 for a 2 inch paint scrap on the bedroom wall that wasnt even there when I moved out (and under NC law this is considered normal wear and tear aka not the tenants fault) AND....$150 for spilled paint on the garage floor from an issue I told them about months ago when it happened. LMAO - and this "property management" company never even included supposed invoices for these $150 each charges they tried to scam out of me.
After about 50 back and forth emails and them refusing to give me back my money I hired a lawyer...long story short I just cashed the check today back from Brown & Glen for my rightful money that they tried to scam out of me.
Honestly if I did something wrong or ruined the home in any way I believe ppl should be held accountable BUT to literally scam ppl out of their hard earned money is wrong and I can't even believe after reading all the horrible reviews on this company that they are still open for business. I can promise you this company is not legit and doesn't do things the right and moral way and if you have to work with Jon Flynn good luck - I don't believe that guy would even be good at walking dogs for a career.
