  • remember the good old days when a sleazy car salesman would shake your hand and it would take a week of hand washing before all the sleaze was gone. if you yearn for those days go to capital ford and shake the hand of ken allen. the sleaze does not come of for at least a month and from what i have seen the rest of the crew there is about the same. i recently had the displeasure of buying a used car at capital ford. the vehicle i was trading in had some issues and i explained to the salesman that i was having major surgery to remove half of my right lung due to a cancerous tumor. i went on to explain that i was going to take a thousand mile trip to new york to see my family before the surgery and needed a dependable vehicle. i knew i was paying more than the vehicle i was buying was worth and took a beating on the trade but when you need a dependable vehicle it is worth the extra. actually, it would have been. imagine being on a busy interstate in a rainstorm and having to change the spark plugs in a vehicle. now imagine that the plugs are in so tight that they break as you are removing them. now imagine that the vehicles still will barely run and you find that the air filter is clogged with grease and oil and you have to remove it so you can drive to the auto parts store that you just had to hitchhike to to buy spark plugs for your dependable vehicle and when you put the heater on to warm up you find there is only one setting on the heater and that is extra hot, (that, incidentally, means the air conditioner does not work either.) i will update as i have to repair more things. i've not had a chance to check the brakes and other things that should have been inspected and admit i am a little scared to do so. there were brake lights out that should have kept the vehicle from being registered because it had not been inspected. capital ford apparently does not let little things like laws stand in the way of profits. to top it all off i had a surgery pre-op appointment and had not recieved my plates from these swindlers until after my temporary thirty day tag had run out. (to be fair, who can expect someone to get a tag mailed out in only thirty days?) i had to purchase a duplicate tag to be legal. so be warned and buy at capital ford at your own risk. i was swindled there and it can happen to you as well. ps: never mention to anyone at capital ford you are about to have life threatening surgery. the sharks and sleaze bags will begin to circle
