Great short hike that is challenging enough to give you a work out!
Luckily it was "cool" when I went (95 and cloudy). I was prepared- small messenger bag with water so I would have my hands free.
The hike is not easy if you are not in shape or not used to the hot, dry climate. I did not think it was very difficult, but I can see why there are rescues yearly because people underestimate this hike. There were times where I was on all fours (and heard rustling below the rocks!), and going down was more difficult for me because of my ankles.
I saw many lizards and small animals, and the scenery was great since I'm from the Northeast. I did see quite a few bees, though.
The parking lot is quite small so I Uber-ed it over. There are restrooms and water fountains at the base.
