  • What a disappointment! My wife & I have previously been a big fan of this restaurant and we're hoping our experience tonight was an anomaly. Four of us were seated at a community table, with barstools that were too short for the hightop table. Waiter was prompt and courteous, with nice explanation of the specials for the evening...but it deteriorated from there. WIne was served in good order, but the food was another matter. In past visits, the food came out fast, well-prepared, and hot. Tonight, there was a very long delay, then the food trickled out...vegetable plate, delay....then the waiter comes and tells my daughter that the flatbread she ordered is no longer available because the dough is frozen! Really?? At least two problems with that...why didn't you know before a long delay after ordering, and you just told us you use FROZEN dough?? She ordered a salad instead, which still took quite a while to come out. My Mary's Fried Chicken, which I really enjoyed once before, came out next, and it was just so-so. Our soups came out next, and whereas mine was boiling lava hot, my daughter's was lukewarm. There was another long delay before my wife's burger came out, after having to ask the waiter twice what was taking so long...and not cooked the way she had wanted it done. His only explanation for the delays was that the kitchen was backed up. Even with a number of empty tables??? The worst parts: (1) at no time did the manager come speak with me about the problems and (2) there were apologies but not attempts to make it right with me by offering anything to compensate for the long wait. We may give them one more chance, but I think it'll be a while before we take that chance.
