  • This only goes for this store in particular. The one in Desert Ridge is the one I usually go to and it's wonderful, but since I was in the area, I stopped here. First of all, I was looking for Shape Tape Contour Concealer but Tarte. They were out of my shade, so I ask an consultant for help. Before I can even fully get the question out of my mouth, "Do you have anymore shades?" She interrupts me with a loud "NO". Rude much? I understand she might've already known what I was gonna ask, but for the sake of manners and common sense, let me finishing talking before you rudely interrupt me. She then goes on to talk about herself and how she's some big shot that goes to all the Ulta's in the state and she knows all their inventory. "So there's no more of that shade you're looking for". Silly me believed her, and she convinced me to buy another concealer. She also said I couldn't even buy my shade online because "Tarte was making a foundation and they needed the concealers to make the actual foundation" ummm... never heard such bs in my life. They of course still have the concealer. They just don't stop selling one item to make another. The other concealer she convinced me to buy was ok, not my favorite. I then went online to see if what she said was true. Tarte indeed did make a foundation, but the concealers were by no means out of stock. She just wanted me to buy something else, something more expensive. I read a review on here as well where the consultant also lied to them about the availability of a product. I love Ulta, and will continue to shop there, just never at this store again. I don't like doing business with rude and petty consultants.
