We landed in Pittsburgh about six weeks ago, relocating from the Bay Area and a life of local and organic eats. Pittsburgh has left a lot to be desired. However, we have found a reliable and cozy Italian restaurant in Girasole.
Their menu is simple--pollo, carne, pesce-- but creative and, when the evening's specials aren't just what we want, there's always the gnocchi which comes with a tasty salad, bonus for the vegetarians. Very impressed with the salmon, great presentation, great flavors. The service is excellent and the owner is a charmer. Grazie!
