  • Stopped by this cafe recommended by a friend for the wonton noodles and Chinese desserts. It was 118+ degrees outside and the fresh watermelon juice was heavenly. The heat curved my appetite and I ended up opting for dessert instead of lunch. I ordered the Fruit Napoleon and regretted it, I should've figured that you don't find fresh berries or mangoes in the desert. Trying my friends' desserts, I should have gone with the Black Sesame Ice Cream with Palm Seed or Guilingao Herbal Jelly with Longan & Coconut Milk. They had also had ordered the wonton noodles and curry fish ball, which were both good. However, it's hard to want hot soup when it's scorching outside.
