I went there for the first time a month ago. The hair stylist that helped me out was very friendly and did a good job on the haircut. However, my experience suffers a one star experience because of a some kind of a charge called "green circles" that I was charged and paid taxes on and a tip on it that noone at the front desk nor the hair stylist explained to me. I looked up online and Green Circles was some kind of little organization based in Toronto that supports better practices of hair salons waste. However, I don't support anything that I don't know anything about or I have not been asked whether or not I would like to contribute. Also, why is this charge transferred onto the final customer. Why does not the salon pay it if they are so environmentally friendly?
The hair salon's website does not mention anything about it.
Therefore, I contacted the hair salon and I requested to be refunded for the additional charge. The owner called and apologized and said that he will mail me a check with the refund. However, he actually never did. It's been probably more than a month. I contacted the organization itself and they said that they do refunds, however, they don't do a full refund of the charge. This is a very tricky situation. Why is there a difference between the charges of the organization and the salon?
I would not go back, I would not recommend the salon, I would not say that their customer service is good enough.
If everyone starts adding up little charges for whatever they want without letting customers know, what will the business world look like?
Take your note!
PS: They sent me a check after this review.
