  • I have a weird relationship with Caesar's Palace. Since I was of legal gambling age, this was my go-to hotel on the strip, as the service and food were second to none, and while I wasn't a high-roller by any means, I did what was needed to be remembered by hosts. So I have a LONG history. Then things in town shifted around with the advent of Wynn, Encore, Cosmopolitan, and Aria. Party hotels became available more accessible to the not-so-elite, and all of a sudden, Caesar's became a contender for the new breed of Sin City. Think of a strong but aging race horse. Not done by any means, but not sexy. The casino staff and cocktail waitresses were stodgy and dry, tired, and boring. But this was offset by some cool bars and lounges, restaurants, including the amazing Bachanal buffet (in my book, the BEST buffet in the country), and Nobu. And it got bigger. HUGE. Get used to walking far...... and heaven forbid you take a wrong turn and have to backtrack. The property is so large you never realize how far everything is. These days, I still stop by Caesars for food and Absinthe (I see it regularly), and indulge in craps for the love of the game, but don't enjoy the table game staff. The high-limit slots are boring and lack variety, so I always end up leaving. I know Omnia is one of the largest clubs in Vegas, but I have my hosts at Jewel, Hakkasan, Light, and XS, so I haven't been given a good reason to branch out yet, so can't comment on this aspect. The swimming pool is probably my favorite in Vegas (no, not the party pools like Daylight, Liquid, or Encore Beach Club, but normal resort pools). It simply oozes luxury resort, and is one of the main reasons I'll still come back. It's still a good place. I just hate walking huge distances to get to my room, to hit the casino floor, or chill by the pool.
