  • Called to have an Xbox controller they had in stock shipped to a local store. Justin McDonald, the team leader, said this wasn't something done on popular items. Seemed like a legitimate point. I called both the Indian Road and Bell Rd location, in which they both told me that while they were out of stock, they had both had their last controllers sold by sending their controllers out to local stores for customers. I called back Northern, and once again Justin answered the phone. I informed him that Indian and Bell both were able to ship out their controllers to local stores for other customers, and asked why he wasn't also able to do so considering GameStop isn't a franchise, and should be run the same as the last. He claimed it was up to each store to determine that. This didn't make much sense to me, and replied that this wasn't very helpful for customers to not help them out when others would, and he literally replied (completely taking me back), "Well to be honest with you, we wouldn't really want you as a customer anyway, and I'll just sell the controller to the next person who comes in the store". I didn't raise my voice, heck I couldn't even if I wanted to given I was in an area where I had to be quiet on the phone. So I really don't understand the rude response, simply because I pointed out his store is running differently than two neighboring ones. To say that as a response to a customer is ridiculous and would only escalate an issue with a typical guest instead of diffuse it. He could have seen if a different store had one in stock... anything. But it was too much of a hassle. If they don't want customer's business just because it's an inconvenience, so be it. Maybe rethink coming here as well...
