  • So, unlike all the other posts I had actual work done by Granite Transformations. I'll give the pro's and not so pro's. I do have to say regarding the post from the Senior Citizen below. Why are you complaining about the price after the fact? You agreed to the price! Anyway....here goes my review. To start-we thought of an entire kitchen tear out. Could not find a Contractor who wasn't trying to rip us off or one that really wanted to do the $35k job. Plus-we didn't want to drop $35-$40,000 and have 8 weeks of construction and no kitchen! So-we looked at an alternative. We had Granite Transformations put in new counter top, new back splash tile, 2 additional cabinets, and reface entire cabinets. PRO's: the employee's are great! From sales to scheduling to the actual install people. Communication was EXCELLENT and job was started on the exact days we laid out. Jason in install said on two occasions "try it this way and if you don't like it I'll come back on my own time to change it" as we were torn on some tile work. We had a small plumbing issue-he came back to fix it-no charge. PRO: counter top turned out real nice. If your just doing counter top it's literally one day to measure. They make it, and pretty much one day to install. Minimal mess. PRO: everything done in pretty much 7 working days. Not so PRO: it is not MESS FREE like the brochure states. There is a mess, especially if you do the cabinet reface. My garage was pretty much a disaster and I had a stored winterized car in garage. There was no mention I would have to provide my garage, but it was Jan. Some communication on this would have been nice. Also-plan on providing a bathroom to workers and debris can be tracked through house to/fr bathroom. We visqueened off our kitchen. Highly recommend if you do the cabinet reface. They "try" to work clean but it doesn't happen. Workmanship for the most part was excellent. Few spots on cabinet reface we noticed afterwards was not perfect but really only noticeable if you really look. Most of it was out of normal sight. Tile work was done very well! Ask for Jason. Salesman made an error on our doors. Didn't up charge us, absorbed the cost and it wasn't cheap! Really standup company. So-in conclusion. If you want an alternative to tearing out your kitchen and you have structurally sound cabinets Granite Transformations is a good choice. Fraction of the cost and it freshens up everything. I'll post a few before and after pics. The after pics still needs floor and appliances but you'll see their work. Hope this helps!
