  • Absolutely horrible service. I initially approached Home Depot to get my carpet replaced with laminate back in March. As of now, it's still not done. JW Flooring is the main culprit. Their customer service is absolutely unacceptable. My biggest problem is with their guys up in management, not the installers. The installers obviously have no control over the company's policy. But at the very least could they get their stories together before they come up with the shenanigans, please? It would've saved us a load of trouble and time. The first problem with the laminate installation was the fact the floor in the right corner of the room (this is important to note) was uneven. That's fine. At first they said the gap in leveling could not exceed 1in. After buying a giant leveler of our own, we measured and saw the gap was 1/2 in. After debating with JW, they sent an inspector out to see and you guessed it! Now the 1/2 in gap was too much, and oh yeah--the floor area was also out of their scope. First it was the gap, now it's the surface area too? Fine, sure. We hired several local contractors to take a look and fix leveling. Two of them have stated that it was a minor issue and it should have been fixed. Well, here we are. -$800 dollars later, a third party fixed the leveling. Or so we thought. After scheduling with JW to re-inspect the floor, now there's a different issue. Remember how I said it was the right corner of the room that had a problem? Now it's also the LEFT corner of the room! SERIOUSLY? I get that unexpected issues come up during these things, but there was absolutely NO reason to keep adding onto the initial problem every time we were scheduled to get the floors done. It was suspiciously convenient. And mind you, it wasn't like we were trying to hide anything. Everything was already moved out from the room and the carpets were already pulled out (by JW) prior to their assessments. Our floors have literally been barren for months now with no end in sight thanks to this company. I would take your money elsewhere if you have the choice.
