Congrats on staying at The Most Unfriendly Hotel In America. Only once before have I been asked if I was staying at a hotel; and that was the Pierre in NYC and I was 23 and understandable because Kings and Big Shots stay there. When I informed them I was indeed staying there the Mgr begged me not to complain since he would lose his job. Now at 60 years old I was PROFILED at HOTEL PALOMAR. Usually Kimpton Hotels are excellent but the manager this morning had an ego thing going on. My question; Do you ask every guest if they are staying there? If not, why did you ask me? I don't like being harassed or profiled for any reason. So if you millennials don't start sticking up when crap like this happens.....WELL..... get used to it. As for me. No thank you. Too many choices in downtown Phoenix. I was followed into the elevator from the front door by this manager ( oh this happened once at a Westin in Boston after 9/11 and they were having labor issues and well) then to the second floor where I was going to have breakfast but since I saw him following me I decided to sit for a minute to see if indeed he had PROFILED ME. HE DID!!!!! That's when he confronted me. It wasn't pretty and I'm as Mad as a Hatter. Do yourself a favor. If you're not ROYALTY..... Go somewhere else to stay.
