| - We bought tickets for Donnie & Marie way ahead of time. Tonight, while in line to walk into the show, we were informed that Donnie was "sick" and would not be performing.
"Oh, OK, where do I get my refund?"
Nope, the show must go on. Far from being canceled, it was a one-woman show. The "special guest" was her nephew David; a talented young man, but no Donnie Osmond.
I don't know how the show would've been different had Donnie been there, but I can tell you that without him it was a painful, 2-hour long episode of "The View" replete with crying and personal stories of abuse, failed marriages and someone telling her she was fat. Not entertaining at all, it was as if I paid $84 to listen to her unload on her psychiatrist. You know, a real uplifting show.
I wish they would've just apologized, canceled the show and returned our money. But there was no way Vegas was gonna let all that money leave.
Lastly, the audio was terrible. The band was way too loud and her voice sounded awful. As well, I'm pretty sure I heard her lip-syncing. Twice. My wife confirmed this. She was busted early on and tried hard to cover it up by stopping the song. Not cool.
I cannot recommend this show.
