  • I went to Dr. Davis to have two crowns placed on my teeth. After having them take the molds and place temporary teeth on my two front teeth I left the office and was told in two weeks I would get my permanent crowns placed and then never have any issues with those teeth again. Two weeks went by with no problems, these "temporary" teeth seemed like they held up just fine and I had no issues. I then went and got my "permanent" crown put into place. I went home and three days later woke up in the middle of the night to find that on of my teeth had chipped during the night. I went back to the dentist who told me that this never happens and he was sorry and he shaved the tooth down and made it look just ok and sent me on my way. Also he made me buy a night guard to prevent me from grinding my teeth which is why, he said, the tooth had broke. Another week went by and again the tooth broke off, this time even more so than before, while wearing the night guard. So this time there was nothing for the doctor to do except remove the permanent crown and re start the process on that tooth. So another temporary was placed on while a new tooth was made. Another two weeks went by, again no issues with the temporary crown, and then I went back to the dentist to get the new permanent crown placed again. It has been about two weeks since then and then last night as I was having dinner, take out soft Chinese food with a plastic fork, the other tooth that was originally placed, not the tooth that had just been replaced, broke. I was absolutely beside myself! I called the dentist and he said he had never in his career heard of such a thing. He didn't know what to say. He scheduled me another visit for today. I work as a stylist and only get paid when I am at work. Also it is an industry heavily involved with looks and a big broken front tooth is not attractive. Also it is embarrassing. The time and money I have spent on these procedures is more than I can handle.
