  • Having been to Narah a couple of dozen times , I have a few concrete expieriences I would like to share with John Q. public. Let's start with the positive shall we? The sheesha here is among the better quality that I have smoked, always a distinct clean flavour and always tasty. The food , particularily the Beirut burger is delicious and enough to make me pack an extra bag of depends with me. Obviously, the location is fairly good, dead centre Marda Loop. The bad: When I go for sheesha, I am generally in a seated position, stationary, and relativley sober. This position, in the kama sutra , is known as "conversating butterfly". I equate a night out of smoking sheesha with good conversation. Narah tends to turn the euro dance hits up past 200 decibles and this makes it very tough to talk. but at least I feel like im in a video for Armand Van Buren. Secondly, the dress code is a bit ridiculous. A friend and I were the only 2 in the place one afternoon and after being seated and ordering, the server told us to take out hats off. I was wearing a fedora. Not your typical gang affiliation garb, unless youre living in 1930's Chicago, which unfortunatley I am not. It turned into much bigger of a "thing" than it should have. Had I been aware of this prior, I would have respected it, but was treated not so much like a customer. I refused and wont be returning, its much easier to have sheesha at a place where I can feel comfortable.
