  • I took the week off, needed an exterior door replaced early in the week as it was holding up other projects. Called Handy Hero first, but the soonest available was Friday between 8am and 11. They said the appt would probably be booked quickly and they could only "hold" it for 30 mins. Next two I called were booked the entire week so I scheduled with Handy Hero. At 945 on the day I called them to check when someone would be coming. Turns out they had failed to schedule the appointment and no one was available to reschedule the same day. I had actually received a callback from another contractor on Tuesday but felt obligated to keep the Handy Hero appt so turned it down. So the entire week was wasted and now i would need to take additional time off.There was no offer to help me recover the additional lost time by discounting services, etc. Instead I called the contractor who called earlier and he not only came out on a Sunday, saving me from burning extra PTO, but his work was excellent! So you should call Chad with Diamond Hammer if you want quality work from someone with great customer service.
