| - Pretty and glam cafe located between the financial district and the Eaton Center.
FOOD:
The baked goods selection is small (limited to cookies, muffins and biscotti the day I was there), and I chose a ginger spice cookie that was absolutely phenomenal. Even had a slice of candied ginger on top.
Already had 3 cups of coffee during the day, so I opted for a loose leaf tea (varied selection: mint, earl grey, green, jasmine, chamomile, etc.). My black and green leaf blend with a hint of peach ("Emperor's 7") was wonderfully scented and had just the right balance between the strong black tea flavour and light bitterness of green tea.
However, seeing as this place is a Coffee oriented joint, I'll have to return to try the coffee that everyone's been raving about.
SERVICE & AMBIANCE:
Service is decent; friendly, but with a noticeable touch of nonchalance you'd expect from uber hipster staff.
The deco and ambiance is what really sets this place apart, though. The plush red wrap around bench and marble-top coffee tables make for the perfect place to people-watch or get some work done. Wifi is strong, and there are lots of outlets for plugging in, should you need it.
This is where I want to be when there's snow falling and I'm in desperate need of a hot latte.
