| - I've been a member here essentially since it opened, and, while my attendance has been sporadic enough to pretty much guarantee zero "gains" whatsoever, I have no real Hone complaints; this is a big, clean well-cared for gym space without an excess of the "meathead" culture. It's ridiculously cheap and yet somehow not crowded or bare bones, there is a ton of available cardio equipment, innumerable weight machines and plenty of space to do all kinds of weird, socially awkward, free spirited lifts without stepping on anyone. There is special deadlifting space, lots of squat racks and a big chill "premium members only" area that's perfect for stretching, bodyweight exercises and the like. Premium members also get access to some fancy schmantzy massage chairs in a quiet little corner and unlimited tanning, if that's your thing.
There's also good light throughout the facility, exposed brick, high ceilings and energizing staff/music/juices for sale, all of which contribute to a pleasant place to work out.
My two big wishes:
1. combination locks. You need to bring your own lock here, and it's a bummer and I always lose my locks.
2. better weekend hours - 7pm is too early to close up shop.
All in all, v good, would gym again.
