  • I hate this airport, and the rental car center is the reason. Actually, the rental car center is great, state of the art and efficient. But getting to it is another story entirely. One has to take a shuttle bus to the rental car center, and I've had it take as long as 15-minutes to get there. It's incredibly slow, and the rental car center is a long way from the airport. Ironically, the place where the shuttle buses are repaired and stored is right next to the airport. How much more sensible it would have been to have the rental car center there, and the repair/storage facility off-site where the rental car center is now. And to add insult to injury, one has to exit the highway quite a distance from the rental car center, and go through multiple lights, which back up with rental return traffic. They have a huge facility charge on rentals, but make it about as difficult as it could be to get to a flight in a reasonable amount of time. This is the slowest car rental set-up I've seen in the USA. And it's brand new - what were they thinking? Makes you just shake your head.
